How do I register my child/children for Annunciation BVM Catholic School?

You may fill out registration forms at Open House or in the school office after this date. You will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate and a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate if your child was not baptized at Annunciation Parish. The registration fee must be paid at the time of registration. This fee is non-refundable.


What is the average class size and requirements for each grade?

We currently accept a maximum of 20 students in our 4-year-old preschool program. There is a certified teacher and a full time aide in the preschool classroom. Students must be 4 years old by September 1.  All students by be completely restroom proficient prior to beginning school. Our kindergarten is full day with enrollment currently capped at 30 students with a certified teacher and a full time classroom aide. There is a maximum of 32 students for grades 1–8, but currently these grades average about 22 students.


When does school begin/end each day?

Our school day begins at 8:30 a.m. with grades K – 5 dismissing at 3:00 p.m. and 6 – 8 at 3:05 p.m. Please note that morning drop-off with adult supervision begins at 8:15 a.m. Preschool dismissal times are 11:50 a.m. for the half day program and 2:55 p.m. for the full day program.


Is there before and after school care?

Yes, the hours are currently 7:00 – 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 – 5:30 p.m. Families must register for the service. There is a charge for this service. More information is available at the office.


Is bus service offered for the children?

Unfortunately, bus service is not available for students who attend Annunciation School.


Is there a lunch program?

Students bring their own lunch from home on a daily basis. The Home and School organization offers Pizza Fridays each Friday of the school year. The also offer Hot Lunch Day once a month from local restaurants for students who wish to order.


How often do the children attend Mass?

Students in grades K – 8 attend the All School Mass on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. weekly.  Holy Days of Obligation may change the day and time of the All School Mass. Our preschoolers only attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation.


What types of volunteer programs for parents are available?

Parent volunteers are a necessity and very much appreciated at Annunciation School. Many of the programs and events we offer are only possible with volunteers. You must have completed a “Protecting God’s Children” online video and have other diocesan required safety documents on file to volunteer. Volunteer opportunities include classroom parties, Pizza Friday, Hot Lunch Days, field trips, Grandparents Day, Father Daughter Dance, athletics and more.
